Members Scooters

Here are some pictures of our scooters. This page will be updated as and when people change their scoots. And knowing scooterists this could probably be a daily occurrence!

Scooter: Vespa 125 Super / Sears Allstate 125
Name: Sherrie Courten

Colour: Super: Old English White
Allstate: Cherry Red

Modifications: Super: Darren touched up the paintwork. Has an age related plate. Headlight rim chromed.
Allstate: Darren did lots to the paintwork, changed the rubbers from a mixture of grey and black to cream, made a special one-off fork-link cover (cos you can't get them for Allstates normally). Has an age related plate. And yes, she does have tassle - shouldn't every girl?!! New cream seat and pillion pad in soft leather.

Additional Info: Super: 1968 Spanish 125 Super, Series II. The later Series II has the front luggage compartment and mounting of the spare wheel.
Allstate: 1965 Sears Allstate 125. Made in Italy by Piaggio, exported to America, imported to England - Does she get furthest travelled?!!!!

Removed the new-style back rack. Thanks to Darren from Strangetown Scooter Club (CRS) for smartening up the paintwork. Seat and spare wheel cover re-upholstered in grey and burgundy by AF Smiths, Fengate, Peterborough.

Additional Info:
PX: Superb runner. Paintwork done by Stef from Dash of Colour (www.dashofcolour.co.uk). Re-build done by Mell and myself. The scooter has had a complete restoration including sand blasting, wheels, forks and all other black paintwork is powder coated. The red and white is two pack enamel. PLVSC 10 year history graphics have been added and aluminimum running boards and centre mat. I would like to thank Stef from Dash of Colour for a superb paint job, Mell for all his hard work in the re-build and Steve Fuller (London Steve) for making and coming round to fit the running boards.

Sportique: Original Sportique rear light unit now attached. Also 60's style Vespa Sportique scrolls fitted to front of scooter instead of new-style Vespa scroll. Mell has re-built the engine instead of struggling to do 30mph it now does a creditable 55-60mph - Thanks Mell. Aluminium handle grips and brake pedal rubber made by Steve Fuller (London Steve) on his lathe have been added. Thanks again to Steve. (New photo to follow)
