THANK YOU TO 'EVERYONE' WHO SUPPORTED OUR EVENT

The weather was just what we had ordered for the 12th Annual PLVSC Egg Run. The sun was out, the sky was blue what more could you ask for!

The meeting place was home of PLVSC – The Cherry Tree. Scooterists from near and far started arriving early and were greeted by the welcoming committee of Paula, Sherrie and Andrea who were selling the Corky-designed Egg Run patch. The pub was doing a roaring trade selling bacon butties, hot dogs and burgers.

The car park was an awesome site now completely full with scooters and people milling around checking out the custom show and greeting old friends and new.

Scooter clubs in attendance (who signed in) were Artarn SC (Desborough), Freedom Riders (Spalding), The Minorities, Kettering Massive, Market Harborough SC, Grantham Daytrippers SC, Norwich SC, Finedon SC, Kings Lynn Gladiators, Pacemakers SC, We Know Feck All SC, The Pilgrims SC (Bedford), Lincolnshire SC, Generations SC, Tin Solders SC (Milton Keynes), Stamford SC, Boston SC, Rhoodmen of Rutland SC (Rutland), Leicestershire Alliance SC, Blue & Gold SC (Kings Lynn), Strangetown SC (Northampton), Armed Forces SC, Cambridge SC, The Munsters SC (Finedon), Billy No Mates SC (Cambridge), Totally Unstable SC (Ely).

Custom prizes were given out it was then time for the ride out. The police gave their support by providing a four bike escort.

In a haze of ozone bursting two-stroke cloud the hundreds of scooters departed the Cherry Tree waved off by a large crowd of spectators. Making our way along Oundle Road, past the POSH ground and onto the parkway to our first stop the The Manor Children’s Respite Home where Easter eggs were unloaded from the donated Post Office van.

Time for a leg stretch before making our way to the picturesque Thorpe Hall Hospice where hundreds of Easter eggs were delivered to raise funds for the Hospice by way of a Easter egg hunt in their grounds.

A ‘team’ photo was taken on the steps of the hospice before some scooterist made their way home and some went back to the Cherry Tree full of excitement of how the day had gone!
An evening do was held at The Fleet with the Chocolate Ska Souls providing the live entertainment, and DJ Tony One-Shirt providing great sounds from the decks.

A raffle was held, £400 being raised for the Club’s nominated Charity 'Help for Heroes'.
